MacBook Pro Retina

For me, this is home base, the center of my operations. It's perfect for making sure that my designs can accomodate crisp, high-resolution displays.

2

iPad 4

I bought it originally for school, since it was cheaper to purchase than textbooks. I use it to test mobile layouts and reference important materials.

3

iPhone 5S

Of course it's more for personal use, but this device is great for testing mobile layouts as well as taking pictures of inspiratonal everyday objects.

4

Sublime Text 2

What a brilliant application! It lets me manage project files easily, save to remote servers, and includes a very intuitive auto-complete feature. I love it.

5

Earbuds

These are for tuning people out when I need to work. I usually go through about a pair a week, but I've had my current set for over five months...which is astonishing.

6

Google Chrome

I use this browser because I feel like it's the most friendly to web designers, especially the set of development tools it comes with. I also have it installed on my iDevices.

7

Adobe CC

I was going to use my existing Adobe CS6 license, but CS6 doesn't look so good on Retina screens, even with updates. Oh well...at least CC has a substantial student discount.

8

Bamboo Pen

This is for making digital paintings, but with this new flat-design trend, I've honestly not gotten much use out of it. Still, it's there for when I (eventually) need it.

I bought it because it was cheaper to purchase a tablet with ebooks than it was to actually purchase textbooks for school. I use it to test mobile layouts and reference important materials.
